It’s Getting Hot in Here: Solar Fuels from Light and Heat

We at SOFI are always talking about our solar fuels formula: sunlight, carbon dioxide and water. But what if we throw heat into the equation?

Stanford materials science and engineering professor William Chueh recently gave a fascinating talk about how thermal energy could increase the efficiency of converting sunlight to liquid fuel.

If you have 30 minutes, check out the video of Chueh presenting his research. It’s very promising work, and we’ll certainly be keeping an eye on it.
