Managing Director, Co-Founder, Solar Fuels Institute (SOFI). Dick is responsible for all administrative functions of the global consortium, the setting and implementation of SOFI’s strategic goals, and the development of partnerships with industry, policy, and academic stakeholders. Specifically, Dick is always looking for opportunities to develop collaborative tools to provide SOFI members with the necessary resources to enhance collaboration and accelerate progress towards commercialization.

Dick is a Research Professor of chemistry at Northwestern University, and also serves as the Director of Operations & Outreach at the Argonne-Northwestern Solar Energy Research (ANSER) Center, a U.S. DOE Energy Frontier Research Center.

Dick received his B.S. from the University of California, Berkeley, and his Ph.D. in Chemical Physics from Harvard University, and is an Executive Scholar at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
